November, 2007
Computers often contain sensitive work data and our private information. Confidential documents, credit card numbers,
account information are the things identity thieves need to make your life miserable for months and even years to come. So
why treat your computer any differently than you do your other valuable property that you keep in a safe? Why not take
advantage of the newest technology to protect your computer? If you are ready to add some inexpensive, state-of-the-art
protection, then you are ready for Folder Castle!
MagneticSoft today announces the immediate availability of Folder Castle 1.2, an anti-theft application that hides
documents, images, files, folders on the computer. The program runs natively on Windows Vista, making the switch to the
newer OS easy to do.
Folder Castle locks and hides data securely. No one, including a local admin, will ever know there is some hidden
information there since the files cannot be seen in Windows Explorer or in any other file manager on the local computer.
Trojans, viruses, spyware and other malicious software have no chance to penetrate the secure perimeter built by Folder
Castle. And hiding files is not the only protective measure in Folder Castle. It also protects data by a password.
The program makes hiding data pretty straight forward. Just run Folder Castle from the Windows Start menu or you can access
its functions from Windows Explorer that has a toolbar, added upon installation by default or through the right-click menu
of a file. The latter way is the simplest because you only need to browse to the file you want to hide, right click on its
icon, choose Hide option and that's it. The file goes invisible. If the time comes up when you need to unlock the file, you
can do this from the right click menu by selecting Unlock All and entering the password that you've set up the first time
you ran the program. That's pretty much it.
Folder Castle comes with a default configuration but you can set it to work your own way: change a password, enable or
disable Stealth mode or display of the toolbar in Windows Explorer. Now that you have hidden everything, you are free to
surf the internet, leave your computer unattended in the office, or leave your laptop in the car without any worries.
Make the worst of your nightmares walk away by using Folder Castle to protect your sensitive documents, images, files,
folders, drives on the computer from prying eyes.
Folder Castle 1.2 is available today.
